West Central put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since April 22, 2024.

West Central's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Central and Elk Point-Jefferson will both be playing Tri-Valley the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Huskies will host them at 4:00 p.m. on May 8.
