Volleyball Game Preview: Hayes Pacers vs. Westerville South Wildcats

The Hayes Pacers will head out on the road to take on the Westerville South Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayes is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Hayes came up short against Westerville North on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Hayes was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Westerville North's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Westerville South played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Dublin Scioto by a score of 3-1.

Westerville South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-21.

Hayes' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Westerville South, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Hayes couldn't quite get it done against Westerville South in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Pacers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
