Baseball Recap: Boise Takes a Loss

Boise's last matchup with Borah could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Brave came up short against the Lions, falling 7-1. The Brave haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brody Newbery made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Boise: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-13 otherwise.

Boise's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Borah, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-19.
