Canyon del Oro had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They never let the Vista Grande Spartans get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Dorados have won 18 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kayla Hendrix was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sadie Jones, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hendrix wasn't the only one making solid contact: Canyon del Oro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in five consecutive games.

Canyon del Oro's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Vista Grande, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Canyon del Oro has already played their next contest, a 16-2 victory against Pueblo on the 11th. As for Vista Grande, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-7 win against Catalina Foothills on the 11th.
