Softball Recap: Grover Cleveland Takes a Loss

If Grover Cleveland was feeling good fresh off their 22-2 takedown of Edison last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Presidents took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richmond Hill Lions on Tuesday. The Presidents were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Grover Cleveland now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Richmond Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grover Cleveland will welcome Townsend Harris at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richmond Hill, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Metropolitan at 4:00 p.m.
