It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bishop Ward ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Iola Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Cyclones: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Friday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Nathan Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
