Baseball Recap: West Field Starts off Right with Win over Stansbury

West Field gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stansbury Stallions, sneaking past 2-1.

Kanyon Pratt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, West Field's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Boston Kap, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Field has already played their next match, a 21-5 loss against Syracuse on the 11th. As for Stansbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-10 victory against Green Canyon on the 11th.
