East Carter extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 23-4 in the process. They put the hurt on the Lewis County Lions with a sharp 10-2 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Laken Knipp made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brynlee Walker was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Shelby Felty, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

East Carter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County only posted a batting average of .267.

As for Lewis County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 10th.

On Lewis County's side, Sophia Egbert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

East Carter and Lewis County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Raiders will face off against Portsmouth West at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (32 vs. 287). Meanwhile, Lewis County (ranked 107th) will meet Augusta (ranked 245th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
