Vinton is 9-1 against Pickering since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will challenge the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Vinton lost 11-1 to Natchitoches Central on Wednesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Pickering came up short against Rosepine on Tuesday, falling 24-1.

Pickering dropped their record down to 2-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Vinton, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Everything went Vinton's way against Pickering in their previous meeting back in March, as Vinton made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
