Basketball Recap: Brooke Helms' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bureau Valley over Knoxville

Bureau Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Knoxville Blue Bullets didn't end well, with the Bureau Valley Storm falling 54-38.

Bureau Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brooke Helms, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Wright, who earned six points.

Bureau Valley's record now sits at 7-13. As for Knoxville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Wethersfield the next time they take the court. Bureau Valley will host Wethersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Knoxville will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
