Volleyball Recap: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Napoleon Wildcats
Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Napoleon Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Springfield took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-13, 16-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Macey Grymkowski paced Springfield's offense, picking up 13 kills. Grymkowski got some help from Zoe Rose and her 23 assists. Grymkowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Napoleon, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3.

The Little Giants will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
