Basketball Recap: Mccormick Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

If Dixie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played McCormick, they should've done a better job of containing Daruis Houston. The McCormick Chiefs simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Dixie Hornets 83-45 thanks in part to Houston, who went 9 for 13 en route to 24 points along with seven assists and five steals. Houston is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

McCormick has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Dixie, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCormick will welcome Ware Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
