Gabe Manier gave up the fewest hits he has since April 1st on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Jones: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-10 otherwise.

Manier's strong effort led Jones over Solorio and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are 9-1 against the Sun Warriors going back to May of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
