Colonie Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Bethlehem Central on Monday. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-2 win. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Jacob Shaul looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Nate Figueroa was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eric Graves, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

Colonie Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethlehem Central only posted an OBP of .310.

Colonie Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Bethlehem Central, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
