While Gordon Williams delivered a dominant effort on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Grosse Pointe South. Williams struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). The performance marked the fewest hits he has had over his last three games.

Williams and Grosse Pointe South will challenge Utica Ford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Williams' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Blue Devils' four-game streak of wins on the road.
