Basketball Recap: Metamora Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

East Peoria typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Metamora proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the East Peoria Raiders with a 56-51 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-48 back in January.

The victory (which was Metamora's third in a row) raised their record to 24-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for East Peoria, their loss dropped their record down to 20-8.

Metamora and East Peoria should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Metamora will square off against Dunlap at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 209 places (24 vs. 233). Similarly, East Peoria (ranked 86th) will meet Peoria Notre Dame (ranked 312th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
