Football Game Preview: East Greenwich Avengers vs. Mt. Hope Huskies + How To Watch

The East Greenwich Avengers will take on the Mt. Hope Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Hope took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on East Greenwich, who comes in off a win.

East Greenwich is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Central Falls: they outscored them in every quarter. The Avengers took down the Warriors 28-12 last Thursday.

Spencer Padula was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Christian Bussiere also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

East Greenwich didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Costa and Jack Spitzer.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hope and Ponaganset were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Mt. Hope suffered a 14-13 loss. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Chieftains recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

East Greenwich will need to focus on slowing down Jayden Martin, one of several Mt. Hope players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 137 yards and one TD on only ten passes.

East Greenwich now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mt. Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
