Baseball Recap: Mount Anthony Wins Going Away Against Fair Haven

The matchup between Mount Anthony and Fair Haven on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Patriots blew past the Slaters 25-7. That looming 25-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Carson Andrick made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Andrick was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those doubles were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Talin Bartholdi was incredible, going 2-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Sean Moriarty was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Mount Anthony was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Mount Anthony's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Fair Haven, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
