Football Game Preview: Cathedral Catholic Dons vs. Folsom Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Cathedral Catholic Dons will take on the Folsom Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cathedral Catholic comes in on six and Folsom on 11.

Cathedral Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Los Alamitos 42-21. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Honor Faalave and Kamden Tillis. Faalave had a great game and gained 139 total yards. Meanwhile, Tillis was balling out in the loss, rushing for 169 yards and one score while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Folsom and Archbishop Riordan (ranked 39th and 76th in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile game on Friday. The Bulldogs secured a 42-38 W over the Crusaders.

Folsom's win came from a few key players Cathedral Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jameson Powell, who picked up 171 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Ryder Lyons, who threw for 215 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 85.2% of his passes.

Folsom's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Cathedral Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Cathedral Catholic beat Folsom 33-21 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
