Basketball Recap: Soliya Solomon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Andrew's Episcopal over King's Academy

On Saturday, the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions came up short against the King's Academy Lions and fell 52-45. St. Andrew's Episcopal has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Andrew's Episcopal lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Soliya Solomon, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Safa Al-Uqdah Robinson, who put up 11 points.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

St. Andrew's Episcopal will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sidwell Friends at 5:45 p.m. on January 6, 2025. King's Academy will take on The Villages Charter in a holiday battle at on Monday.
