Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Russellville). They strolled past the Todd County Central Rebels with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 80-62. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Todd County Central lost, don't look at Devin Schutt. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and six rebounds. Those 23 points gave Schutt a new career-high. Connor Holder was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Russellville's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-11. As for Todd County Central, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Russellville will square off against Warren East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Russellville likes a good challenge. As for Todd County Central, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
