Baseball Game Preview: Sparks Railroaders vs. Mineral County Serpents

The Sparks Railroaders will face off against the Mineral County Serpents at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparks is looking for their season's first win.

Sparks came up short against Truckee on Saturday, falling 15-1.

Sparks saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tayte Thomas, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Thomas a new career-high.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mineral County). They put the hurt on Tonopah with a sharp 21-11 victory on Saturday. The Serpents might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Sparks' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Mineral County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
