Football Recap: Orrick Falls Short of Norborne/Hardin-Central in the Playoffs

Orrick and Norborne/Hardin-Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Orrick had to settle for second. They were outmatched by Norborne/Hardin-Central and fell 54-16. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Norborne/Hardin-Central this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-12 back in September.

Although Orrick took the loss, they still got scores from Trenton Mahurin and Levi Fielder.

Sam Barnett produced another solid performance picking up 141 receiving yards and a pair of TDs for Norborne/Hardin-Central. Barnett has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Orrick has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Norborne/Hardin-Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Orrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norborne/Hardin-Central, they will take on Wellington-Napoleon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
