La Pine has gone a perfect 10-0 against Harrisburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Harrisburg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on La Pine, who comes in off a win.
La Pine was handed an eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Pleasant Hill 3-2. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Billies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Gunnar Young made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dayton Wilkinson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of La Pine's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 8-9-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was David Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
La Pine hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Hill struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Harrisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Elmira, falling 13-3.
Peyton Huskey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Chaney, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
La Pine now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Harrisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
La Pine got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Harrisburg by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
