Soccer Recap: Okeechobee Starts off Right with Win over Palm Beach Gardens

Okeechobee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Palm Beach Gardens Gators a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. Even though Okeechobee got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Luis Garcia was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Arturo Ramos and Alan Bustos scored both of Okeechobee's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Okeechobee wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 7-1 victory against Clewiston on the 5th. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 6th.
