Basketball Recap: Homer Falls to Winnebago in First Game of Season

Homer had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Winnebago Indians and fell 76-35. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Looking ahead, Homer will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lyons-Decatur Northeast at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winnebago, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walthill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
