Volleyball Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Thursday. Alexander took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newnan. Alexander has struggled against Newnan recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Newnan, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Coincidentally, Alexander and Newnan will both be playing Whitewater the next time they take the court. Alexander will head out to face Whitewater at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Newnan will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
