Softball Recap: Andrews Comes Up Short

Andrews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 25-5 to the Murphy Bulldogs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 19-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kylie Donaldson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. Alexis Beasley was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Murphy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Murphy will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Andrews will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Panthers, they'll take on Andrews again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
