Will Johnson headlines look at the Great Lakes State's top senior prospects according to 247Sports.

Ahead of the 2021 high school football season, MaxPreps is breaking down the top senior prospects in the country state-by-state as rated by 247Sports. We continue the series with Michigan, which opens play Aug. 26.

Michigan's top tier talent is largely divided between wide receiver and athletes, which make up almost half of the top 25 seniors in the state. Both positions boast six recruits, followed by linebackers (four) and offensive linemen, defensive linemen and defensive backs, with three each.

Not a single quarterback or running back in the state cracked the top player list.

The teams to look out for this season appear to be Belleville, which claimed four top prospects, and Cass Tech (Detroit), with three.

As of Aug. 8, only 13 of the 25 have committed to colleges, headlined by Michigan State as the top destination spot with four, and Michigan and Notre Dame with two prospects each.
