Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spirit Lake). They blew past the Southeast Valley Jaguars 56-27 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Spirit Lake's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Southeast Valley, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 3-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spirit Lake will take on rival Estherville Lincoln Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southeast Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove on Friday.
