Softball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Canyon's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Steele Knights on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Canyon's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Steele, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Coming up, Canyon will be playing at home against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rattlers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.52 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
