Fennimore took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Wisconsin Heights, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vanguards 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Fennimore pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Wisconsin Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Fennimore will square off against Mineral Point at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wisconsin Heights, they will challenge Dodgeville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
