Archbishop McCarthy is 3-0 against Key West since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks will head out on the road to face off against the Key West Conchs at 1:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Archbishop McCarthy came up short against NSU University and fell 52-41. The loss continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Key West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Marathon, falling 58-36. One positive for the Conchs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Archbishop McCarthy will have to contain Monica Bueno as she made an impact in Key West's last game. She posted seven points and six assists.

Archbishop McCarthy's record now sits at 1-8. As for Key West, their record now sits at 0-6.

Archbishop McCarthy strolled past Key West when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Archbishop McCarthy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
