Basketball Recap: Windham Comes Up Short

Windham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Garfield G-Men and fell 76-46. If the Bombers were looking for revenge after losing 79-51 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Garfield was led to victory by Preston Gedeon and Aidan Hill. Gedeon went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points, while Hill almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Gedeon is becoming a predictor of Garfield's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 14-2 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Rock, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 10 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Garfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

Coming up, Windham will challenge Western Reserve at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Garfield, they will take on Girard at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season.
