Softball Recap: East's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

East dropped their record down to 10-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Alta Hawks, falling 20-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Leopards have suffered since March 15th.

As for Alta, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 36-25).

For Alta's part, they got a massive performance out of Addyson Brownell, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Bailey Thompson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Looking ahead, East will take on Judge Memorial Catholic in a tournament on Saturday. As for Alta, they will challenge West at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
