Seymour never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Torrington Raiders 19-0. Considering the Wildcats have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nobody will forget Cassidy Marcinczyk's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Torrington's batters): she turned in a perfect game. Marcinczyk has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Julianna Raucci was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Testone, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Seymour always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Torrington only posted an OBP of .000.
Seymour pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Torrington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
As of now, neither Seymour nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
