Basketball Game Preview: Riverdale Ridge Ravens vs. Mountain Range Mustangs

Two dominant guards in Dylan Nieto and Moses West are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Riverdale Ridge Ravens will challenge the Mountain Range Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Riverdale Ridge came up short against Boulder and fell 67-55. While the Ravens didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 14-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mountain Range, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 71-60 win over Prairie View on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Thunderhawks: they've now won four in a row.

Mountain Range's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for Riverdale Ridge, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Riverdale Ridge barely slipped by Mountain Range when the teams last played back in January, winning 65-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverdale Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
