Volleyball Recap: Green Hill's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Green Hill had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hendersonville Commandos as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Green Hill was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.

Green Hill was led to victory by Chloe Carter and Abbie Lyttle. Carter had 13 assists and five aces, while Lyttle had five digs and five assists. Carter has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last eight times she's played. Julia Cleveland also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Green Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matches.

Green Hill's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Hendersonville, they dropped their record down to 19-19 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Green Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hendersonville, they will face off against Beech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
