James Morton put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chamblee is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-8 otherwise.

Morton's strong effort led Chamblee over Tri-Cities and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
