Volleyball Recap: Coastal Academy Has No Trouble Against Guajome Park Academy

There's no place like home for Coastal Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Guajome Park Academy Frogs on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Stingrays yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Coastal Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Mariela Cordoba, who had five digs and five aces.

Cordoba wasn't the only good servers: Coastal Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive matchups.

Coastal Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-17 record this season. As for Guajome Park Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
