Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 18-1 walloping at the hands of the Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy Eagles. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, Franklin couldn't push the score so high this time.
For Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy's part, Mackenzie Broussard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Broussard was even better at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
