After a string of nine wins, Knightdale's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 53-46 to the Heritage Huskies. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 39-36.

Knightdale lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Green, who posted 14 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Adams, who shot 45% from the field en route to 13 points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Knightdale was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. This was only their second loss (out of 18 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Jon Mwanda continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Heritage, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mwanda a new career-high in points. Cam Jones also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Knightdale suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 18-7. As for Heritage, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-11.

Knightdale has already played their next game, a 56-53 loss against Apex Friendship on the 25th. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-46 victory against Chapel Hill on the 25th.
