Baseball Recap: Parkway North Takes a Loss

Parkway North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hazelwood West Wildcats, falling 16-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 15-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Parkway North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Gibson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That hit was Gibson's first of the season.

Parkway North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Hazelwood West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway North will host Ritenour at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hazelwood West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakville at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
