Softball Recap: Eagle Point's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eagle Point entered their tilt with Ashland on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Grizzlies 13-4. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-0 win on Saturday.

Kady Ledbetter and Sarah Estes did most of the damage at the plate: Ledbetter got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Estes scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Ledbetter is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Allison Martin, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Eagle Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .513 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The win got Eagle Point back to even at 5-5. As for Ashland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
