Basketball Recap: Middleton Takes a Loss

Middleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 68-55 to the Ridgevue Warhawks. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ridgevue's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaimana Nielson, who posted 27 points. The dominant performance gave Nielson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Dawson Phillips, who had 16 points.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ridgevue, their record now sits at 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleton will take on Boise in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgevue and Vallivue will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st.
