It was a good run, but Amboy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 36-19 to the Newman Central Catholic Comets. The match marked the Clippers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Newman Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
