Volleyball Recap: Emerald Comes Up Short

Emerald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Heritage Patriots.

Emerald took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-17.

Emerald's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Emerald will head out to take on Concord at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m.
