Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Cherryville over East Gaston + How To Watch

Cherryville hadn't done well against East Gaston recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Ironmen came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 21-14. For the Ironmen, this counts as revenge for the 28-6 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Jackson Heavner had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 145 yards and three scores on only 15 carries.

Heavner was just one part of a punishing run game: Cherryville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. The Ironmen are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Although East Gaston took the loss, they still got scores from Camden Stillwell and Jaden Robinson.
