Softball Recap: Tri Titans vs. Rushville Lions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hagerstown, Tri was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Rushville Lions.

Avery Dungan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Dungan was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylan Matthews, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of MacKenzie Laurie, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
