Basketball Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Blair Oaks Falcons
The Linn Wildcats waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Blair Oaks with a 38-32 win. This was a revenge contest for Linn, as the team was forced to settle for a 49-37 defeat when these two played last Monday.
Linn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiana Hostetler, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Elli Dudenhoeffer was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six steals.
Linn's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Blair Oaks, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17.
Linn won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. South Callaway has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4. As for Blair Oaks, they will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
